London photos

We had our first full day in Europe! In London! We participated in a walking tour (very informative and enjoyable), and did some exploring on our own. We had delicious Indian cuisine for dinner, a dining experience that proved to be really awkward. We also went to a park that was supposed to be the equivalent of San Francisco’s Dolores Park, and we rode one of those super cool double decker buses. Tomorrow: Soho neighborhood, then on to Paris!

Our hostel in London:

Monmouth Coffee Company. Great cappuccino and arguably the best croissant I’ve ever had. (Thanks Duncan for the suggestion!)

Insert Beavis & Butthead joke here.

The English Pig, a.k.a. bar with really snarky sign.

St. Paul’s Cathedral

Millenium Bridge

Cannons and bikes

London Bridge – as in THE London Bridge. How boring.

This doesn’t necessarily document our travels, but oh well. Ever since we landed in London, this song has been in my head (Anna’s head). I don’t know if we’ll be making it out to Portabello Road while we’re here, however.

Time for bed after a long day running on very little sleep. Tomorrow: walking tour and curry.

And then we saw the Lion King at the Lyceum. Like real locals!

Our first meal in London! Yes that is 10 pieces of fried fish on my plate. I chose unwisely. Anna had the tuna steak which fared better.

Yet Another Travel Blog!

Hello! We are going to Europe for a few weeks, so watch this space for photos, small blurbs, videos… uh… I think I’m describing what Tumblr is for.

We are spending about 2 days each in London, Paris, the Cinque Terre, Florence, Rome, Berlin, and Amsterdam. If you want to see something specific, just ask! If it has anything to do with our plans we might just “tumbl” it!

Current status: waiting at SFO. We had to wait for a BART train for 20 minutes, so now we only have an hour to wait for the gate to start boarding.
